Meizu POP2s true wireless earphones use a new double-layer structure composite diaphragm, which combined with a new audio design greatly improves the resolution. POP2s is Meizu's first product to support "Flyme". Open the charging box to quickly connect to the phone with a pop-up window. It has a built-in Bluetooth 5.0 low-latency chip. The headset supports functions such as call noise reduction, touch control, and wake-up voice assistant. The battery life data is 6h+24h, and it is IPX5 waterproof and sweatproof. 1. Meizu POP2s true wireless earphones unboxing
The packaging box is designed with a sky and earth cover. The style is consistent with the previous generation and is relatively simple, but it does not have Meizu’s iconic blue decoration. The upper left corner is the brand name of Meizu, the middle area is a rendering of the earphones and charging box, and the bottom is the product name "Meizu POP2s True Wireless Earphones".
On the back of the box are four product features: binaural dual transmission, master-slave switching; instant connection after opening the cover, senseless pairing; IPX5 waterproof, suitable for travel and sports; the total battery life of the earphones with the charging box can reach 24 hours.
At the bottom of the box is the company information and some product certification information, Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co., Ltd.

The contents of the box include Meizu POP2s headphones and charging box, additional silicone earplugs and user manual.
Two extra pairs of silicone earplugs are included, which are convenient for people with different ear canal sizes. The ones that come with the earphones are medium size.
The charging box is displayed on the front and has the same appearance as the previous generation. The top and bottom are flat and can be placed on the desktop. There is a groove, battery indicator light and Meizu’s brand name on the front cover.
The back of the charging box is shown. The lid is connected to the body through a metal hinge, and there is a quick pairing button underneath.
The USB Type-C charging interface is still on the bottom side of the charging box, with some product information next to it. 2. Disassembly of Meizu POP2s charging box
After the previous unboxing, we already have a preliminary impression of the appearance of Meizu POP2s true wireless earphones. Compared with the previous generation, it has not changed much. Let’s take a look at its internal structure and power management system through disassembly.

The main PCBA of the charging box is fixed to the case with four screws, and there is a thick piece of foam between the main board and the battery.
Remove the motherboard and display the inside of the charging cockpit. The four openings are the light guide structure for the indicator light. The circular magnets on the upper left and upper right are used to absorb the box cover. The four magnets at the earphone position are used to absorb and fix the earphones.

The main PCBA circuit of the charging box is displayed, which is mainly the power management system. The lower right corner is the solder joint of the battery wire. The solder joints are full. The charging box interface position is equipped with TVS for electrostatic protection.

The SY8801 chip specially designed by Siyuan Semiconductor for the TWS headset charging case is based on a design that ensures safe and high-reliability performance (supports 28V input withstand voltage, built-in full-featured charging and discharging overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, short-circuit protection, etc.), and also integrates I2C communication functions and internal communication isolation functions. Through the I2C interface, the system's MCU can read and configure the internal functions of the power supply and the parameters of battery charge and discharge management, and easily implement functions such as NTC protection, segmented battery current adjustment, TWS headset entry and exit detection, automatic power output opening, etc.
Siyuan SY8801's integrated internal communication isolation module greatly optimizes the functional design of the smart TWS charging compartment. No complex peripheral circuits are needed. The MCU can control SY8801 through connection. Not only can it charge the earphones, but it can also communicate and transmit data through the POGO PIN of the power supply connected to the earphones, including uploading the battery capacity of the charging box, clearing the pairing of the earphones in the charging box, restoring factory settings, and upgrading the earphone software.

3. Disassembly of Meizu POP2s headphones
Let's continue to disassemble the headset part. The appearance of Meizu POP2s true wireless earphones continues the classic design of the POP series. The earphone shell follows the golden ratio, and the spiral design fits the auricle better, which can enhance the stability and comfort of wearing.
The earphone shell supports touch control and has the Meizu brand name on it. The outer ring is still the iconic halo design of the Meizu POP series. This time, a white halo is used instead of blue. According to the official promotion, it is more consistent with the white indicator light of the charging box.
There are openings for the light guide column and the call microphone on one side of the casing.
